Stearn Gaze

One of the days that we were camping we decided to go to a near by zoo. The Niabi Zoo in Coal Valley, Illinois was very nice. It is on 40 acres of land and has 330 animals (140 species).

I didn’t take a lot of photos that day. It had been hot and and quite a few of the animals seemed to be feeding. I did however get to see the lions. They were patiently waiting to be fed. Just as I was about to give up on getting a good shot of the male lion, he turned his head right towards me.

If you’re ever in the Quad Cities area of Illinois I recommend that you stop by the Niabi Zoo. I included a link to their web site above 🙂
