Monochrome Madness Challenge – Ant Party

Ants on a flower

I had a feeling when I took this photograph of ants having a party on this flower that it would be a good candidate for a monochrome image. The light was glancing off the ants and the the flower. The only processing I did was turning the image from color to black and white.

I’m still not very good at identifying the flowers and I had a bit of trouble with this one. This one should have been easy Oak Ridge Forest Preserve (Cherry Valley, IL) is full of them. I will have to find a better website or book for future reference.

Monochrome Madness Challenge is hosted by Leanne Cole and Laura Macky. Please take some time to check out all of the entries later today on Leanne’s blog, just click on her name above. 🙂
