Black-eyed Susan in Black and White

Black-eyed Susan in Black and WhiteThis photograph of a Black-eyed Susan is my entry for week 22 of Monochrome Madness Challenge hosted by Leanne Cole and Laura Macky. I chose this shot because the background was almost 100% black upon converting to black and white. I did do some work with the burn tool in Photoshop to bring out some of the details on the petals a little better. You may remember this flower from my gallery Flowers of Deer Run if not just click the link if you would like to see it. 🙂

Each week you can find the Monochrome Madness Challenge on Leanne Cole’s blog. There you will find a great collection of monochrome images from artists around the globe. Take some time to check them out, just click the link above later this afternoon.

Wonderful shot. That black-eyes susan has the blackest eyes I’ve ever seen. 🙂
