Tuesday evening after I had taken the photographs of the barn on the south side of Rockford I made a short stop at the Kishwaukee River Forest Preserve. I hadn’t been here since early in the spring, and that had been on the west side of the river. That would make this another first visit in my book.
The visit was short due to the late hour and I hadn’t had dinner yet and was very hungry. I had stopped by here with intent just to drive through as a scouting trip to see what might be on this side (east side) of the river. As I was turning my car around I caught a glimpse of stairway made from stones out of the corner of my eye. Yep that was all it took to get me out of the car!
