Above the Light

Above the Back LightWhat an interesting day. I started out very early this morning at 3:30 A.M. My intentions were to photograph the lunar eclipse. Clearly I have much to learn when it comes to photographing the moon.  I did get a few good shots early in the process, but my later attempts did not work out well. I captured too much light from the moon even when it was fully in the Earth’s shadow. Today I will share night image without the moon, as I am very tired and the moon photos need a bit of work.

As for Blogging 101, the assignment is: pick a blogging event from the Community Event Listings to try for some instant community. I have looked through the list and I am attempting to work something out for one of these. Normally I participate in Monochrome Madness Challenge each week. Unfortunately I missed it this week due to a busy schedule. This week’s MMC was posted yesterday just click the link to visit the post.

Good for you, getting up! I am sure it was beautiful even if your camera didn’t capture what you were seeing. Those situations are always a learning curve. Beautiful stars in this image!

I’ve learned with the Moon too. Shutter speed is so important. I cannot be too long or you will bleach the Moon out. Exposure too is important. The Moon is tricky to photograph right and don’t let anyone tell you different. I love your stars!!! (((HUGS))) Amy
