Red Admiral Butterfly

Red Admiral ButterflyIt looks like it’s going to rain here all week. It is spoiling the extra day off that I had. I planned on taking many photographs of brilliantly colored landscapes. I hope all he rain does not speed up the process of the leaves changing colors and inevitably falling off the trees.

This photograph of a Red Admiral butterfly is from my trip to Oak Ridge Forest Preserve last week. I’m not quite sure how this one got it’s name, but it doesn’t seem to have any red in the color pattern. It was nice to see it fluttering about, we have had a couple of light frosts. Enjoy!
