Horse Nettle

Horse NettleThese berries may look familiar. This is the third photograph that I have used featuring them. That being said I thought that it was time that I did some research into what the berries were. They do look similar to a cherry tomato, but I was guessing that they were toxic because the animals and birds have left them be. Turns out that the plant is called Horse Nettle and the berry is indeed toxic.

For those of you that are new followers or visitors to my blog I have featured black and white photographs of these berries on two occasions. The first was back on September 23 (Berries and Grass) and the second was on October 14 (Berries in the Brush). Enjoy these colorful berries!
