Still Standing

Still StandingI’m happy to announce that starting today Fridays will now be the home for Heartland Heritage. I live in Illinois and it is in the Midwest region of the United States. The Midwest is also known as the Heartland of America.

The weekly blog feature will consist of photographs of barns and other farm equipment from years past. While I was doing some research about old barns to help in the naming of the feature, I came across many state level organizations that are trying to preserve the historic barns of their states. I look forward to sharing images and information with all of you. Enjoy!

Hi James. Just found your blog via Monochrome Madness. I am from the Midwest (Indiana) but live in Florida now. Old barns fascinate me, too. I love aged, antiquated, rusty and abandoned. Your photos are beautiful.
