Whitetail Deer Grazing

Whitetail Deer Grazing_0044Sunday evening I ventured back to a vacant farm that I had seen the previous night while driving with a friend. It just so happened that this location also had somewhere around 100 whitetail deer grazing in the fields around the old farm. When I went back on Sunday it was a couple of hours earlier so that I could take advantage of the lighting.

I didn’t see 100 deer on Sunday but there were a lot. I left about 30 minutes before sundown because I felt that I was intruding on dinner time, preventing a majority of the deer from creeping out of the woods.

It is nearly 60 degrees today, and it was about 45 the day I took the photos. There was some freezing rain last week that turned all of the snow into ice for the most part. It is mostly gone now though.
